What’s in a word? For 2025 it’s all about the Journey
Last year I chose the word “Leap” as a theme word for my year. I used it to get off my duff and make some important changes. I used it to kick start myself in the right direction, but I definitely hit some bumps along the way. I learned a bit about some personal health challenges, about how to manage my energy levels, and how to be more realistic. Going through my recent “brainwash yourself for achieving your ideal life,” and starting to hack my own mind and body, have given me a new sense of hope for the future. I’m building on having taken the leap, and this year I plan to focus on the Journey.
In the world today it’s ever more apparent that there are a great many things I can’t control. This used to make me very anxious, stressed, and even depressed, but now I’m choosing to focus on what I can do. The journey is built one step at a time, one day at a time. And the journey needs to flow like a river finding a way around, under, over obstacles, sometimes slow and steady, sometimes a torrent. The journey is movement, rest, and movement again. And the journey is about what we do and why we do it, the colorful, vibrant ways in which we live, not about the destination.
What is your word or theme for the year? How do you want to be the driver in your own life? What’s on your docket?
